The Decepticons won for the first time since week #1 and moved to within a hair of third place in the standings.  The Cons did not have that great of a week but it's all relative.  Only 128.75 pts was enough for first place in a very tight week.  All that needed to be done this week to win was to avoid very bad performances from key players which Dec did.  Except for the K, Def, DL, and college player, all of Dec's starters scored at least 7.5 pts.  B Jacobs was the top scorer with 15.75 pts and the big dude is now close from being a top 10 RB.  Rookie E Royal got a rare start over regular starter J Stewart who was on bye, and Royal took advantage of the situation by scoring 15.5 pts in a losing effort against Miami.  RB Ronnie Brown was acquired before this week and he will probably start every week from now on.  He fills a weakness for Dec and will allow Dec to compete for the league title.  Brown scored a respectable 12.25 pts this week.

UncleJack finished in 5th place or better for the fourth straight week, the only team in the league to achieve it during that time span .  This allowed UJ to move to within 2 pts from FE in the standings.  UJ made a big surge on MNF with the Steelers scoring 18.5 pts against the Skins with 2 INTs, one blocked kick, 7 sacks, and only 6 pts allowed.  WR Calvin Johnson is benefiting of Roy Williams' departure and got his 4th double-digit game in a row with 19.25 pts this week.  P Manning contributed with 21.25 pts.  Even though Manning has generally been a disappointment, he nonetheless ranks 8th best QB in the league which is not that bad.

WaxOnWaxOff struggled for 118.75 pts but Wax beat Spi by the slimmest margin: 0.25 pt.  It means Wax moved to just one rank-point behind Spi in the standings.  Based on total points scored so far, Spi would most likely get the tie-breaker at this point however.  Because Wax has fewer injury concerns than Spi, Wax remains league favorite because they don't trail Spi by much.  Wax was very fortunate to get 12.5 pts out of Bulger this week.  Bulger is not expected to start again for Wax, but he was a must start due to Delhomme and Rivers being on bye.  Wax got most of its production from rookie C Johnson as usual.  Johnson scored 18.25 pts this week and he took over the first spot over all rookies in the league.  Adrian Wilson also had a good game with 13.5 pts.

The Spitoons came up just short this week but must be happy to get a decent rank this week and not become another team this year to completely fall flat after a win.  Spi has now finished in the top 5 eight weeks out of nine and no lower than in 6th place all year.  Warner continues to hold the fort very well in Romo's absense and he scored 25.25 pts.  The standings were very tight and Spi could have finished very low in the standings if not for James Harrison's huge game on MNF.  Harrison had 7 tackles, 4 assists, 1.5 sack, and he roughed up J Campbell with 4 QB hits.  Harrison has been a monster all year and at the mid-point of the season he is easily the MVP and the most surprising player on defense.  He was drafted in the 25th round in a 26-round draft and yet he leads all defensive players after 9 weeks.  As hard as it is to believe, he is possibly the MVP of Spi's entire team right along RB Westbrook who also leads the league at his position.

The BeaudoinBrothers came up short of beating Spi and Wax and this 5th place hurts .  The BBs traded for McNabb this week and it paid off with McNabb scoring 20 pts while Roeth continued to struggle and got further injured.  Although Portis, Turner, and Slaton all got over 100 yards from scrimmage, and both R Moss / L Fitz caught 6 passes, none of the BBs squad found the end zone other than Jax's defense which was the difference this week.  Just one TD could have lifted the BBs to third place but it never came.  The BBs also tried to bolster the TE and DL position with injured Witten and L Little / A Schobel by acquiring T Cole and G Olsen.  However those trades turned out useless because Olsen and Cole only scored 4.5 pts combined.

The Dugongs continue to underperform and slipped to 5th place in the standings.  What looked like a strong team at the beginning of the season is not scaring anybody anymore.  A Rodgers was held to 10 pts but that was in Tennessee so it's understandable.  A Peterson scored 16.5 pts but he's just not having any monster games this season.  With F Gore on bye, Dug had to start old man F Taylor who is totally washed up.  Taylor got 12 yards and that's it.  At WR, Lee Evans is just not consistent and he only scored 5 pts against the Jets.  Recall that L Evans was acquired from Wax during the draft for... rookie C Johnson.  Ouch.   So Dug drafted all those rookies, only traded one of out four, but traded the most valuable of all.  Now two of the three left are worthless so Dug has nothing to trade anymore to boost other positions.

FlyingElvis finished 7th this week.  As usual, M Ryan did well with 18.25 pts and O Daniels continues to surprise with 17.5 pts, moving up to top TE in the PQBFL tied with T Gonzalez.  Very nice for a 6th round pick.  The rest of FE's offense was horrible however.  Cassel just sucks , McGahee blows , MB3 is lost without Romo , and B Marshall is a quitter .  Oh and now Loservil is on FE's squad after being acquired from Dug .  Loservil got his third best game of the year: 3 points. Congrats Loservil.  That was not enough to help FE in any way shape or form.

OldNo7 finished next to last for the second straight week and in the bottom 4 in each of the last 4 weeks.  Old got smoked by 6 rank points by UJ and is now 7 pts behind UJ in the standings.  Old has not scored 120 pts since the week 4 explosion.  This week, the entire blame rests on Old's RBs.  S-Jax played but he is banged up.  He only scored a quarter of a point.  S Young and Cadillac are injured.  C Perry played but he only scored 0.75 pts on the bench for Old.  However the star of this sorry group is Larry Johnson.  This dude has a serious problem.  There are reports that when he sees hot women, he has this uncontrollable reaction where he produces a lot of saliva.  He then ejects his excess saliva by spitting in women's faces as a sign that he is attracted.  Well that's usually not well received.  The Chiefs are considering a mouth operation to solve this problem.  They could consider just sealing his mouth and as a side benefit, we won't hear anymore of LJ's stupid comments.  What a dumb $hit.

JB finished last for the third time in five weeks and will need a lot of work to get out of last.  JB scored a league-low & season-low 70.25 pts this week.  Almost half of that came from two unexpected sources: the Giants defense and T Suggs combined for 35 pts.  The rest of the team was painful to watch.  JB's QB, RBs, WRs, TE, and rookie (7 players) scored 14.75 pts combined .  They should all be fired.  Addai is possibly the worst first overall pick ever.  A franchise player, this guy?  Are you kidding me?  Might as well franchise a kicker.  Sad to say, but that's still better than E James who did not even get a carry this week, but the coach did well in benching him and starting Justin Freaking Fargas instead, who scored 1.75 pts.  If the math is right, 1.75 > 0.00 so that was good.  The coach screwed up elsewhere though.  Chad Johnson was benched so he thought it would be a good time to score 2 TDs.  And the coach started an injured college player while P White scored 7.75 pts.

Note: sometimes the NFL announces stats changes and according to PQBFL rules, the results are not totally official until Sunday 1pm Eastern.
