Week #16

The Decepticons took a serious option on the PQBFL title by beating the Bros for the second straight week and doing it by two ranks this week to take over the lead in the standings by one and holding the tie breaker.  This means the BeaudoinBrothers will need to beat Dec by two spots in week #17 to repeat as champions.  The 'Cons pulled this off despite Big Ben scoring negative points.  Gore was the unlikely hero scoring over 20 pts for the first time of the year at the most opportune time.  D Freeman, Ju Jones, Hopkins, and the Texans defense each added one TD and Carlos Dunlap sealed the victory on MNF with 3 sacks.

WaxOnWaxOff played trouble makers by slightly edging the BeaudoinBrothers and finished 2nd.  This pulled Wax even with Old in 3rd place of the standings which means it's head to head Wax vs Old in week #17 for 3rd place overall and finish in the top half of the standings.  Stafford was a starter for a rare occasion and rewarded the coach with 22.75 pts.  Wax's RBs had excellent weeks with L Murray scoring a TD in addition to 117 yards from scrimmage and D Williams scored 2 TDs with 150+ yards from scrimmage.  At WR B Cooks scored a 71 yard TD which provided most of his 19.5 pts for the day.

The BeaudoinBrothers tried to salvage a single rank defeat to Dec to for a face off with Dec in week #17 but could not do it in large part due to Aaron Rodgers' disastrous game in Arizona.  The BeaudoinBrothers no longer control their own destiny after consecutive losses to Dec.  The suspension to ODB was costly because backup G Tate did not get the job done and Jeffery was out to injury.  With ODB, surely he would have topped Tate's 6.75 pts and helped Beaud beat Wax.  On defense, Woodson was expected to have a big game during his home finale but came up with a dud with 2 pts.

FlyingElvis will finish the year in 5th place but did a bit better this week with 4th place.  Brady failed to reach 10 pts for the first time of the year in a loss to the Jets.  Alfred Morris should never be relied upon as a starter in the PQBFL but his number was called due to the long lasting injury to M Lynch.  Morris only scored 4 pts.  FE's top scorer was Sean Lee with 16.5 pts.  Lee is having himself a decent year with a top 10 LB average and will likely have a spot on FE's saved team in 2016.

After two wins in three weeks, OldNo7 fell flat with 5th place and less than 100 pts.  Cam Newton was not effective this week in the Panthers' first loss of the year.  Doug Martin fumbled twice, Cobb was held to 15 receiving yards in the Packers disaster in Arizona, Antonio Brown did not score in a shocking loss to the Ravens, and Vinatieri missed an extra point.  If it was not enough, the coach started injured Luiget and Yeldon.

The Admirals nightmare season is approaching its end and Adm finished last once again, but surprisingly only the first last place since week #10.  The coach outsmarted himself by starting Bridgewater (13.5 pts) instead of Brees (35.25 pts) which was a costly mistake.  The Adm coach will most likely finish dead last in the PQBFL currently with 73.5% coaching efficiency compared to 5th place Wax at 77.9%.  Starting injured Kam Chancellor was not great either, leaving 11 pts on the bench from M Griffin.  And while it would have been gutsy to start the Cards defense vs the Packers instead of the Broncos defense at home vs the Bengals without Dalton, the Cards were benched with 34 pts compared to 6.5 pts for the starting Broncos.
