WaxOnWaxOff
won for the second time in four weeks and retook 3rd place in the
standings with their season high 188.25 pts. Andrew Luck threw
for two more INTs but he was able to score a good number of points in
the 3rd quarter after trailing 27-0. He finished the game with a
respectable 28.25 pts even though NFL-wise his performance was not very
good. Jarvis Landry had a good statistical game and a good game
in real life, unlike Luck, scoring 2 TDs including one which was
electrifying. The Rams defense was stout with 22 pts against the
Browns. The other notable performance came from Amari Cooper who
helped the Raiders beat the Chargers with a long TD.
OldNo7 also had a season high this week with 177.5 pts and finished in
the top 2 for the first time of the year. Lamar Miller was by far
the top player on offense for Old with 236 yards from scrimmage and 2
TDs. This game alone catapulted L Miller from 26th best RB in the
PQBFL to 8th best in just one week. The rest of Old's offense did
well but not great. However defense was another story. Old
was the best defensive team of the week with the Seahawks who held the
49ers to only a field goal, and double-digit scores by L Timmons, J
Collins, and T Mathieu.
The BeaudoinBrothers scored over 165 pts and failed to finish top 2
with such a score for the second time this season. Aaron Rodgers'
bye hurt the team because M Ryan did not do the job during his absence
with only 8 pts. Arian Foster had his last good game of the
season for Beaud with 20.25 and is now out for the year. The GM
gambled by drafting a player who was already injured during preseason,
and lost the gamble. The team knew the injury risk and does not
deserve sympathy unlike other kind of injuries to otherwise healthy
players.
The Decepticons finished out of the top 2 for the first time this year
as injuries are starting to take their toll. Antonio Gates missed
the game to injury and Eifert was on bye. Backup TE Ben Watson
only scored 6.75 pts. Mariota was out to injury but backup S
Anthony did well with 12 pts. At QB, Big Ben should return from
injury soon and Rivers continues to pile on points during his
absence. However this week Rivers' points were a festival of
garbage time scoring in the 4th quarter after being down 37-6.
Three TDs and 2 two-point conversions help change a stat line so Dec
should consider themselves very lucky to have beat FE by less than a
point. Dec amazingly continued the streak of defensive TDs with a
ball coming right in the hands of Reshad Jones off of the WR, for the
easiest TD of his career.
FE scored 150 pts and yet that was only good for 5th place this
week. The FE coach can only blame himself for starting injured
Weddle and giving the gift of a rank-point to league-leading
Decepticons. Brady, TY Hilton, and Gurley all had great games,
but offset by duds from L Blount (-0.25 pt), R Quinn (goose egg), and
stupid kicker Cantazero who missed an extra point on MNF to doom
FE.
The Admirals finished last for the fourth time in 7 weeks, trailing FE
by more than 40 pts in what was a disastrous week. Cameron Wake
scored 16.5 pts with 2 sacks and 2 forced fumbles, but the rest of
Adm's lineup was limited to 12 pts of less. First, Adm has no
rookie and it's not injuries. The best is Coleman who is
averaging only 3.3 pts per game. At WR, yes the injury to Dez
Bryant hurts, but the coach benched M Evans in favor of old man Andre
Johnson. Evans outscored Johnson by 18 pts but anyway it did not
matter since Adm finished so far behind in last place.
