Week #6

Everything keeps clicking for Dec with a second monster week of 200+ pts in six weeks, crushing every other team by more than 45 pts.  How often do you lose your franchise player to injury and actually improve your team?  This is how well this season is going for Dec.  Replacement player Devonta Freeman scored 26 pts in his debut with Dec this week.  Dec improved their lead in the top of the PQBFL standings to 7 rank-points over Beaud.  DeAndre Hopkins was already having a big year but he also got his best game of the year with 10-148-2.  Dec continues to be playing lights out even on defense with another TD, this time coming from Reshad Jones.

The BeaudoinBrothers finished 2nd with 155 pts without any single player scoring over 20 pts but with none of the offensive players scoring in the single digits except for backup rookie Abdullah who scored 5.75 pts in replacement for starter Winston who was on bye week.  On defense the BeaudoinBrothers had a subpar week with the Pats only scoring 4 pts against the Colts with no turnover, JJ Watt being held to 4.5 pts without a sack, and Bethea only scoring 5 pts and getting injured.  But on offense the Bros had a solid but not strong week.  Gio Bernard continued to exceed his draft status with 12 pts this week.  He ranks 14th best RB in the PQBFL and best of the BeaudoinBrothers.  Arian Foster also had his best game of the year with 14.25 pts and he is slowing climbing the rankings.

FlyingElvis edged the Admirals with 3rd place and moved to within 2 ranks points of 3rd place in the standings behind Wax and Old.  Brady was once again FE's top scorer with 26.25 pts and he continues to lead the entire PQBFL with an average of 27.5 pts per game.  FE also got a strong contribution from the Dolphins D who finally showed up after three straight negative scoring weeks before their bye.  The bye week was beneficial and they dominated the Titans with 1 TD, 4 turnovers, and 6 sacks.  FE also had a big game from Seth Russell (Baylor) who scored 6 TDs, threw for 380 yards and rushed for 160 more.  FE could have had a chance for 2nd place this week if it was not for rookie Gordon -1.75 pt effort and Adrian Peterson's lowly 3.75 pts.

The Admirals avoided last place and finished 4th for the second time in three weeks which is a small accomplishment.  RB Ivory led the way with 21.25 pts.  He is having a very surprising year, leading all RBs except for replacement player D Freeman.  Demaryius Thomas could not score a TD but at least he had a decent game with 10-111 and he keeps his head above water scoring-wise despite the shittyness of his QB.  Adm continues to have a bad year from the coach who ranks last this season.  This week Cameron Wake was benched with 26 pts and Ansah started with only 2 pts.  The rookie position is a disaster for Adm.  Agholor was injured but is not scoring points even when he is healthy.  This week none of D Parker or B Coleman scored anything.  Adm's three rookies are all in the bottom 5 rookies and one of the other two in the bottom 5 has not played yet due to injury so among the active ones, they are 3 of the bottom 4.

Wax had a difficult 5th place with only 123.5 pts.  The team had 2 LBs on bye and one injured so got a goose egg at the position.  At DB two were injured and the only healthy player H Smith scored a measley 2 pts.  Smith was supposed to have a great year and ranked at the top of some DB lists but he's only the 10th best DB so far this year which is a disappointment.  On offense Wax started Eli Manning who had a bad game with 2 INTs and one fumble (not lost) and only 6.25 pts.  On the bench Luck scored 29 pts and Stafford even better with 35.5 pts.  At least Wax's receivers did well this week with 21.75 pts from K Allen, 17.25 pts from E Sanders, and 20.5 pts from TE Olsen who scored the game-winning TD against the Seahawks.

OldNo7 finished last for the first time this season with a season-low 113 pts.  First off the coach made the bone-head move of starting Joseph Randle who was on bye while Lamar Miller scored 14.75 pts on the bench.  WRs stars Antonio Brown and Randall Cobb combined for a stunning 5 short receptions for 62 yards - which they can normally achieve in only one half!  The Seahawks defense did not get the job done against the Panthers and only scored 3 pts.  QB Wilson was the team leader with 20.25 pts and Forte also had a decent game with 14.25 pts.
