The
Decepticons kept on rolling and won for the third time in five
weeks. Philip Rivers continued to perform well in Big Ben's
absence with 21 pts and benefited from A Gates' return from
injury. The Dec coach started Gates and the connection
Rivers-Gates produced 2 TDs for a total of 4 TDs to beat the
BeaudoinBrothers on MNF. At WR, D Hopkins continued his massive
production despite scoring a TD: 11-169. Everything is going well
for Dec such that even Julio Jones scored a TD on a fumble by his
teammate at the goal line and Wagner scored another defensive TD for
Dec. The injury to J Charles might have been a cloud on the
horizon for Dec, but with Devonta Freeman available, it might not even
be a downgrade. Freeman has outscored Charles this year so far.
The BeaudoinBrothers had the lead over Dec going into MNF but
unfortunately LB Shazier did not dress for the game despite practicing
the week before and his absence caused a goose egg at the LB position
since others were injured or on bye, so it was very untimely for
Beaud. The team had otherwise a decent week with Ju Forsett
finally performing to preseason expectations with 19 pts this
week. Franchise player ODB Jr had time to score 19 pts before
temporarily leaving to an injury. With the lack of LBs, the Bros
were forced to start 2 DBs but both of them produced well: Bethea 11.5
pts and Woodson picked off old man P Manning twice for 14 pts.
OldNo7 got back to third place in the standings by edging Wax
this week 123.75 to 117.25, which is a very low score for a 3rd place
finish. Old's receivers have slowed down considerably, with Kelce
scoring 4.75 pts this week, R Cobb 5 pts, and worst of all, Antonio
Brown only 5.25 pts. The Steelers are just avoiding the pass
right now due to Vick's inability and are relying only on the
run. QB Bradford was Old's top scorer with 19.25 pts.
WaxOnWaxOff was hurt this week by not having any healthy TE and DB to
start: 3 were on bye, and 3 were injured. This easily cost the
team 3rd place this week. With such a handicap it was difficult
to compete, but some players did their best to carry the load.
Eli Manning continued his strong play in the absence of A Luck and
might have become Wax's starter. Manning scored 29.25 pts and
currently ranks 4th best QB in the PQBFL compared to Luck's 14th
place. LeVeon Bell had his third game above 15 pts since coming
back from his suspension. He leads all RBs in the PQBFL except
for newly added Devonta Freeman (Dec) as an injured player
replacement.
FlyingElvis had a second straight disastrous week, barely reaching 100
pts once again. Brady was great with 27.25 pts, but almost the
entire starting squad sucked except for a couple of guys who had nice
games, for example rookie Gurley rushing for 159 yds. He is
clearly over his injury. This week M Lynch was still injured and
A Peterson was on bye so Alfred Morris got his number called. He
rewarded his coach with a measley 1.25 pt. The Ravens D allowed
33 pts to the freakin Browns, and more than 500 total yards without
getting any turnover. Weddle was also awful on MNF with only 2
pts.
The Admirals finished last for the third week of the season and were
the first team of the year to fail to reach 100 pts. Not only
injuries are affecting the team (2nd most injury points so far), but
even healthy top draft picks suck big time. Franchise player WR
Demaryius Thomas 14th best WR. First round pick (and 2nd overall)
RB Lacy 24th best RB. Second and third round picks Dez Bryant and
L McCoy are injured, 4th round pick TE J Graham 11th best TE.
Fifth round pick WR Mike Evans was injured early on but has not done
anything since coming back and ranks 26th best WR. We could keep
going down the list - they all suck: 6th round Brees, 7th round
Agholor, etc. It's not even looking good for the 2016 season as
the saved team is not promising.
