Week #4

WaxOnWaxOff's resurgence continued this week as the team won for the first time of the season despite scoring only 144.5 pts in a low-scoring week.  Wax leaps from 5th to 3rd in the standings.  A Luck's injury turned out to be a blessing in disguise because he is a tough player to bench, but so far Eli Manning has outproduced Luck.  That continued this week with Manning scoring and impressive 25 pts against a decent defense on the road in Buffalo.  L Bell has confirmed that Wax's struggles in week #1-2 were temporary and that Wax's lineup is different with his presence.  Bell scored 18.5 pts and he has the best point per game average of all RBs after 4 weeks.

The Decepticons had their lowest scoring week of the year by far, but salvaged the results by narrowly beating Old and Adm.  Similar to the QB position for Wax, Dec did not miss a beat with Big Ben sidelined.  Rivers threw for 3 TDs and over 350 yards against the lowly Browns.  Julio Jones had a bit of a down week with only 4-38 but Hopkins picked up the slack with 9-157.  The Decepticons are very happy to escape this week with second place with star rookie Mariota on bye and having their only healthy kicker on bye as well.

Old finished in the middle of a tight pack between Dec-Old-Adm with 127.5 pts and third place.  Nobody on Old's team was able to carry the team to a better result; Newton was the top scorer but only managed 16.25 pts.  However on the flip side, nobody on Old's starting squad had a bad game except perhaps Kelce with only 4.25 pts.  Otherwise most key players scored at least 7 pts.  Old had a decent contribution from defense with 52 pts in total from the Seahawks, Liuget, Timmons, Kirksey, and Mathieu combined.  This was second this week behind Wax's 53 pts on defense.

Adm got out of the red for the first time this year with 4th place but deserved a better result after falling short of beating Old and Dec.  Brees had by far his best game of the year with 24.5 pts.  C Ivory continues to surprise, adding 18.75 pts this week.  He is currently 3rd best RB in the PQBFL behind L Bell (Wax) and J Charles (Dec) but at a fraction of the cost.  One player who has not been worth his cost so far is Jimmy Graham.  He scored 5.25 pts and through 4 weeks ranks 9th of 17 TEs.  Adm would have finished higher if not for poor play on defense with only 31 pts total.  It does not help when the coach makes the bone head move of starting Chandler Jones on bye and backup Ansah scores 15 pts from the bench.

The BeaudoinBrothers had their worst score of the year by a stunning 56.5 pt difference compared to their previous weekly low.  It did not help that Gronkowski was on bye, Julius Thomas injured, and Dwayne Allen who was drafted for the only purpose of starting in week #4 at home against the weak Jaguars during Gronk's bye, could not make it to the field like a pussy because of a tiny bit of soreness in his ankle after practicing all week.  The wimp should be banned from the NFL.  To make matters worse, the backup TE in Indy lit up the scoreboard with 9-83-1   Arian Foster made his debut but the BeaudoinBrothers' coach was too quick in pulling the trigger.  Foster was ineffective with only 10 rushing yards and a fumble.

FlyingElvis finished dead last this week, barely reaching the century mark.  Brady's absence was felt with P Manning only scoring 6 pts due to 2 INTs.  Marshawn Lynch's injury is taking his toll.  This week, backup RB Ryan Mathews only had 5 carries and fumbled one of them.  Having very little to show for this week, the FlyingElvis coach was ecstatic about his kicker named something like Katanzorro's 5 FGs in addition to this dude even getting two tackles on special teams.  He is aiming for FE MVP this year.
