BeaudoinBrothers 125.75 pts

FlyingElvis 123.75 pts (after -5.5 pt stat change)

Spitoons 100.5 pts

UncleJack 90.5 pts

WaxOnWaxOff was stuck in a tight range between 2nd and 6th place until ancient dinosaur T Owens exploded with 30 pts on MNF against the Steelers no less.  This resulted in Wax's first win of the season and a return on top of the standings, tied with the Dugongs.  The Dugongs still hold the tie-breaker however.  Wax was helped by the Cards defense which scored 2 more TDs.  They are by far the poorest high scoring defense in the league.  They gave up over 500 yards of offense to the Vikings and were only bailed out by the TDs.  On offense, Bradshaw had a good game with 17.5 pts.  He's in the top 10 RBs in the league and the trade made during the draft with Beaud turned out to be a rip off in Wax's favor.

JB only scored 11 pts more than the 6th place Dugongs but in such a tight week, points are very important.  JB's second place meant several valuable rank-points gained on Dec and Beaud in the race for 3rd place, while staying within striking distance of first place, 7 rank-points behind.  Arian Foster is the league's top RB and he continued piling up TDs and yards this week, with 2 TDs and 197 yds from scrimmage.  Ray Rice did not score, but he also had almost 100 yards rushing and 100 yards receiving on the day.  JB had a chance to beat Wax before MNF but ended up quite far behind Wax.  Note the coach started Maclin (6.25 pts) instead of Nicks (20.25 pts) but this miscue did not cost a rank point.

FlyingElvis finished 3rd for the second straight week.  This good result allowed FE to pull away from the doormats UJ, Spi, and Old.  WR had been a sore spot all yeaer, and Fitzgerald provided another decent game to FE (12.25 pts) and Berrian came back from the dead due to all injuries at WR for the Vikings and he scored 13 pts.  In the first 8 weeks of the season, he had scored a total of 13.75 pts so this was quite a turnaround and unexpected performance.  This came at a good time because all other WRs for FE were suspended (V Jax), injured (Driver), on bye (Sims-Walker), or just missing in action (Aromashodu).  On MNF, Mendenhall did enough to pull away from Dug, Beaud, and Old with 15.75 pts.  Rookie Dez Bryant also contributed with 15.25 pts and kept his first place ranking among all rookies in the PQBFL.

OldNo7 finished 4th with 128 pts this week.  Rivers was the main reason of this success with 33.25 pts.  Rivers jumped over P Manning as the league's top scorer.  Replacement player Brandon Jackson has been used sporadically by Old but he was put in the starting lineup this week.  It paid off with 13.75 pts.  The problem for Old is more at WR.  With the Randy Moss fiasco and Crabtree's big head, there is not much to go by.  Breaston and Meacham scored 7.5 pts combined.  This meagre production should be happening in some kind of barnyard league.

The BeaudoinBrothers finished in the middle of the pack again with 5th place.  Other than A Rodgers (28.75 pts) and M Turner (19.75 pts), the Bros were awful all around.  Boldin and Marshall could not top double digits combined.  Witten only scored 5 pts.  The Chargers defense looks and smells like Swiss cheese and they scored 2 pts.  At least it was better than the Bengals with the goose egg.  The BeaudoinBrothers acquired a kicker before this week and he light up the scoreboard with 9 pts, something that the team is not used to.

The Dugongs fucked up with 6th place this week, following 5 weeks of extreme success and could not re-write the record books.  Gates's injury had something to do with it, but the Dugongs' not starting newly acquired college RB Royster (with Collaros on bye) was typical of the laid-back coach who did not remember to submit his roster change following the trade.  WR Calvin Johnson had a rare off day with 1.5 pts, but that's because he was well covered by Revis all game.  The Dugongs took several weeks to build a 5-rank point lead on Wax and it all evaporated in one week.  The Dugongs remain the league favorites and will be back to work in week 10.

The Decepticons have been the most up and down team in the league, and this week was a down week.  The 'Cons finished 4 times in the top 3 and 4 times in the bottom 3.  They lost 3rd place to JB and saw Beaud move closer.  Cassel had a good game at QB, but just to tease the coach, ass hole Cutler did a hair better with 18.5 pts.  The high-powered WRs for Dec were stunningly bad with only 6 receptions and 57 yards (no TD) for A Johnson and A Miles combined.  Defense is a disaster for Dec with the worst two drafted defenses in the PQBFL: Cowboys and Texans.  Dec started the right one this week: 2.5 pts for Houston, compared to -2.5 pts for Dallas.  The Cowboys defense / special team sucks so much that they fumbled not once but twice.

The Spitoons' slide continues with 8th place this week, the fourth straight week in the red.  No team has sucked more during this period than Spi.  Schaub only scored 4.75 pts against the porous Chargers defense.  Forte did not get the lucky long TD so he was held in check.  Shonn Greene... well what should we expect from a backup.  4.5 pts?  We'll take it.  Welker has not improved since Moss is gone: 5.75 pts this week.  Justin Tuck was Justin Suck this week with a single point in a rare off game.  Tuck is DL3 in the league so far.

Now enough with the negativity.  Let's just talk about positives.  This week, UncleJack.... huh.... ahem!  See you next week!
