The BeaudoinBrothers won for the third straight time and for the fifth time in the last 7 weeks.  In week #13, the BBs will try to become the first team in PQBFL history to win four straight times in the same season after six unsuccessful tries (BB 3 times, Wax 2 times, Crashers once).  The BeaudoinBrothers took over first place in the standings for the first time of the season and they are now the fourth team to occupy the top after Wax, FE, and Spi each spent some time in first place.  LT added three more TDs this week to push his total to 23 total TDs in the last 7 games – unbelievable.  There was a pissing match after the week #12 games between the BBs and FE because FE claimed that the Bros’ had a one-player team after the BBs trash talked FE who is falling behind in the standings.  Well, FE should open their eyes.  The BB QB Vick has been important in the BB success.  Vick did not even throw a TD this week, but thanks to his 166 rushing yards, he beat all four of FE’s QBs.  Nice.  Chester Taylor who was acquired in an important trade with Dec after week #2 had a clutch 16-point performance while K Jones was out to an injury.  And we should mention the recent awakening of Chad Johnson who scored 13 pts this week.  So FE should find problems in their own backyard rather than fooling themselves into thinking that the BB success is due solely to Tomlinson.  Note that the BBs achieved a stunning 96.3% coaching percentage this week which is a nice change from the problems they had earlier this week.  Starting the Dolphins D instead of the Bears was a gutsy but correct call.  Starting Vick instead of Bulger/Hasselbeck and starting G Wilson instead of Dawkins also paid dividends this week.

The Spitoons finished behind the BBs again but had a good week nonetheless and distanced FE in the standings.  The Spitoons are now 5.5 rank-points in front of FE in 2nd place and with five weeks left, it looks like the Spitoons are very well installed in the top two and a second straight appearance on the league plaque.  The Ravens D led the team with 27 pts this week by having a party against the still very overrated Steelers and especially their QB who stinks.  Roethlisberger got his ass kicked around all game long and he looked like a punching bag.  The Ravens sacked his sorry ass a total of nine times in addition to intercepting two of his passes and making him lose one fumble.  One of those three turnovers resulted in a TD.  And they shut out the Steelers by allowing less than 175 total yards.  C Palmer also had a very nice game with 22 pts.  He moved up to 4th best QB with this game.  S Alexander was rusty last week – but not this week.  He carried the ball 40 times in the snow for over 200 yds and he scored 16.5 pts.  He is the key for the Spitoons to win the PQBFL championship.  B Westbrook also had a big game even though McNabb is out.  He is now the center of the Eagles offense.  He got 170 total yards and one TD against the Colts.  The Spitoons came up short against the BBs because M Harrison disappointed with only one point and star DL Jason Taylor was tripled-teamed almost all game by the Lions and he got a goose egg.

The Decepticons continued to do well this week with a 3rd place.  This was the fourth time in six weeks that the ‘Cons finished in the top 3.  The Decepticons benefited from the UJ collapse to increase their lead to 5.5 rank-points in front of Old in 4th place.  At QB, nobody noticed the absence of McNabb when backup Brees scored 27.5 pts.  Brees moved ahead of P Manning and he’s now the 2nd best QB in the league behind McNabb.  It’s a good thing that the Decepticons did not trade Brees at a discount by accepting the low-ball trade offers of Old and Dug earlier this year.  The Decepticons seem to have great skills at picking QB talent.  Rookie Vince Young has done much better than expected.  This week he led the Titans to an awesome 4th qtr comeback victory and he scored 26.5 pts.  He moved up to 4th best rookie in the league.  After a slow start, TE Cooley has been doing well lately.  He scored a season-high 16 pts this week, his fifth double-digit game in his last six games.  On defense, Dec struggled a bit with Burgess being held to only 2.5 pts in a tough matchup against the Chargers and R Barber only scoring one point on Thanksgiving day.  However, LB A Thomas saved the day with a 57-yd TD against the Steelers.

FlyingElvis is falling behind in the PQBFL championship race by finishing 4th this week.  FE has not finished in the top 2 in the last four weeks and both Spi / BB increased their lead every week as they occupied those top two spots 6 times out of 8 from week #9 to week #12.  FE was reported to have some intra-team fighting after week #12 as frustration is growing .  FE also tried to rip on the BeaudoinBrothers but simply made matters worse for their own team.  This week, FE got a lack of production from the QB position again.  Brady only threw for 1 TD and got 2 INTs.  The Jaguars defense is very up and down and this week was a down week with only 3.5 pts against the Bills.  Other than Brady and the Jaguars, almost everybody had a good week which led to the finger pointing within Elvis' team as to which fault it is for the recent lack of success by FE.  Franchise player LJ scored 18.5 pts against the Broncos D.  LJ keeps doing his part to help FE.  In fact, the Chiefs coach is probably overusing him.  There is no way LJ will remain an elite player in this league if he gets over 400 rushes per year .  His career could be very short like other RBs who exceeded 400 rushes before (or got very close to 400 rushes), like Eddie George, Jamal Anderson, Ricky Williams, Terrell Davis, Barry Foster, etc.  All those RBs had very brief careers (or very unsuccessful careers) after the year where they had a huge workload.  The Chiefs coach is running its RB into the ground .  This also led to fighting inside the FE locker room because some players thought LJ should not be used so much to keep him as the team franchise player for several years, while others want to win now.

OldNo7 scored 146 pts but finished in 5th place.  This was the highest score for a 5th place team this year.  The main story for Old this week was the benching of rookie Addai who scored 40 pts while overrated first round pick R Bush scored only 3.5 pts .  Old would have easily finished in first place if they started Addai .  This huge game made Addai jump all the way to first place in the rookie standings this year, almost a full point per week ahead of A.J. Hawk (Spi).  Old was boosted this week by the Bears defensive players L Briggs and C Tillman who each scored 21.5 pts.  Franchise player S Jackson also did well with 23 pts.  Nobody is talking much about Jackson this year, but he is the league’s 4th best RB.  Note that T Holt has slowed down considerably in the last five weeks.  He scored 6.5 pts this week and his average since week #7 is only 7.5 pts, compared to his average of 17.2 pts per game in the first six games.  Bulger has been bothered by an injury and it has affected Holt’s stats.  On defense, OldNo7 continues to have problems.  The Browns D allowed 30 pts and almost 400 yds to the Bengals and only scored 3.5 pts.

WaxOnWaxOff edged out a 6th place win by barely beating the Dugongs due to their kicker Josh Brown who scored 12.5 pts to save the day because Branch only scored 5.5 pts in the snow.  The kicker was almost the highest scorer on Wax’s team this week.  Zach Thomas scored 13.5 pts and A Winfield scored 14.5 pts to lead the defense.  J Abraham returned after a long absence to injury, but Wax started him too early.  Abraham was not 100% on the field and did not even get a single tackle.  On offense, Wax struggles.  The Giants are not the same team as at the beginning of the season and they are not what they were last year.  E Manning only scored 4 pts against the Titans.  P Burress scored a TD but only caught 4 passes for 44 yds.  Tiki still gets yards (112 total yds this week) but did not score a TD.  Wax got out of 7th place by moving half a rank-point ahead of UJ.

At the risk of beating a dead horse , the Dugongs suck.  Another week, another bottom 3 finish.  This was the Dugongs' 11 straight bottom 3 finish.  That's right, ELEVEN!    For comparison purposes, the longest such streak last year was only 5 weeks (FE) and same for 2004 (Old, Spi, and Wax).  Dugongs’ 11 straight weeks is a PQBFL record beating the previous worst: OldNo7 had 9 straight weeks in the bottom 3 in 2000.  The Dugongs knew very early in the season when K Warner got benched that they needed a QB.  Carr and Frye were not good enough.  But all the Dugongs did was make ridiculous and outrageous trade offers to at least two teams in the league.  All trade offers were obviously refused.  In one of the trade offers (which will not be disclosed for privacy reasons), the Dugongs tried to get a top of the league QB in return for a RB who share carries and who does not get goal line rushes (so he is obviously not even starter material).  C Frye got the start this week and he threw 4 INTs for a total of -6 pts.  Nice.  At WR, L Fitzgerald had a nice game with 19.5 pts, but the Dugongs started the wrong WR2 again.  J Horn only scored 6 pts and L Coles scored 20.5 pts on the bench.  With the recent improvement in coaching efficiency of the BeaudoinBrothers, the Dugongs are dead last with 75.2% on the season .  The Dugongs suck from top to bottom and only have one player in the top 2 at its position: Adrian Wilson.  Wilson returned a fumble recovery for 99 yds and a TD.  Well, it was not really a fumble but the refs did not catch it so the Dugongs get the points anyway.

UncleJack got crushed this week with a season-low 88 pts, slightly worse than what the Dugongs scored in week #8 (88.5 pts).  UJ was not even close to 7th place, finishing 32 pts behind the Dugongs, which was the largest margin of defeat by far this year (previous worst was 15 pts) .  P Manning only scored 9 pts because all he had to do was stand back and watch J Addai score TDs.  The Colts had a good day on defense with 14 pts while R Mathis scored 16 pts with 2 sacks and 2 FFs.  But the rest of UJ’s team was horrible.  W Parker only scored 3 pts as the Steelers offense went nowhere against the Ravens.  UJ benched A Boldin (why? ) who scored 21 pts and starters Muhammad and R Smith did not even get half of that combined (10 pts).  TE D Clark started, got injured, and only scored 1 pt.  Even the freakin kicker had a bad game with S Graham missing an extra point.   UJ will try to forget week #12 and regroup for the last five weeks of the season.  UJ fell to 7th place but is only 2 rank-points behind Old in 5th place.
