After 15 long weeks of suffering, FlyingElvis exploded for 166.5 pts and the first win in franchise's history .  Larry Johnson continued to crush all opponents with 26 pts this week.  Since taking over for Priest in week #9, LJ has scored no less than 15 pts and he has averaged a whopping 23.9 pts per game during this 8-week period.  Santana Moss also had a huge game with 35 pts.  The coach's patience was rewarded because he was kept in the starting lineup even though he had failed to score in the double-digit for 5 of the last 6 weeks.  S Moss is now the league's 8th best WR.  Everything went right for FE this week.  Even TE Wiggins scored his only TD of the year this week.  Brady threw two TD passes to ... FE's LB Vrabel!    Unbelievable.  A linebacker scoring 2 TDs in the same game, this has to be a first.  Brady and Vrabel pushed FE's TD total to 10.  Some weeks, FE was struggling to score 2-3 TDs.  FE's outlook for 2006 is much brighter than 2005.

The BeaudoinBrothers finished in the top 2 for the sixth straight week, tying their own record established at the beginning of this year (weeks #1-6).  They will try to beat this record in week #17.  The BBs have finished in the top 2 every week except week #7 and week #10, which is quite an accomplishment of consistency .  After the Saturday games, it looked like Wax was going to beat the BBs, especially when T Jones and T Heap each scored a TD on Sunday.  However, it was not enough to beat the powerful BeaudoinBrothers.  LB J Vilma delivered on Monday Night with 18.25 pts to beat Wax.  The BeaudoinBrothers were carried once again by their WRs.  Holt scored 26 pts and Boldin scored 20 pts.  They are currently the league's 2nd and 3rd best WRs.  The top WR is T Owens but he has missed most of the season so Holt and Boldin have effectively been the top 2 WRs in the PQBFL this season.

WaxOnWaxOff had a fifth straight top 3 finish but lost two key rank-points due to the unlikely performance of FE and the late rally by the BeaudoinBrothers.  Wax cut the Spitoons' lead from 3 to 1 rank-point in 2nd place and a chance to be on the PQBFL plaque.  If Wax beats Spi by only one rank in week #17, Spi will most likely have the tie-breaker because they lead Wax by 38.25 total points in the standings.  One rank has averaged about 12 total points this season.  It is unlikely that Wax would beat Spi by only one rank but over 38.25 pts.  So Wax has to beat Spi by 2 ranks to finish the season in 2nd place.  Beating Spi by 2 ranks is not an impossible task because Wax has done it for 5 straight weeks.  After week #11, Wax was behind the Spitoons by 15 rank-points and that lead was cut to 1 in five weeks.  Wax's top scorer this week was Chris Chambers who continues to make the BBs look bad when they gave him away to Wax for pretty cheap (Carr + M Lewis) .  Chambers moved up to 10th best WR in the league and will probably be a key part of Wax's saved team in 2006.  The Steelers D completely shut out the Browns and scored 17.5 pts.  H Ward caught a TD and over 100 yds.  C Palmer scored 18 pts and because P Manning is being benched by the Colts, Palmer will most likely finish the season as the top QB.  Wax could have beat the BBs this week if Moats had not been held in check by scoring only 1 point.

OldNo7 finished on the short end of close matchups again, by finishing less than 8 pts behind 2nd place and only 4 pts behind 3rd place, while beating the 5th place team by almost 40 pts.  By beating the Dugongs by 3 rank-points, Old kept their hopes alive for a 4th place finish.  They need to beat the Dugongs by 5 rank-points in week #17, which will be very difficult.  Three players scored 21 pts for Old this week.  J Peppers only got his 3rd double-digit game this year in what has been a nightmare season for him.  It will be interesting to see if the team management will give him another chance in 2006 and save him, or give up on him because he is only the 7th best DL in the league.  C Portis has improved recently and is making a bid to become Old's franchise player for 2006, especially with the recent struggles of Steven Jackson.  D Mason is the other player who scored 21 pts.  Mason has benefited from Boller's improvement in the last 2 weeks.  The Bears D was solid again with 15.5 pts against the Packers.  Cadillac Williams scored 18 pts and he is finishing the season strong.  Old suffered from bad games by D Jackson (only 4 pts) who is probably still injured and J Witten (1 pt) .  On defense, J Farrior and Dunta Robinson also had mediocre games.

The Spitoons of the last 5 weeks are a completely different team from the Spitoons of weeks #1-11.  The team's lead in 2nd place has melted to only 1 rank-point.  With injuries stacking up, the Spitoons will have a hard time holding off on Wax's comeback.  The Spitoons had to start Lee Suggs at RB because everybody else is injured except S Alexander.  On top of that, S Alex may rest for part of week #17.  S Alex probably had his last big game of the season in week #16 with 27 pts.  He will finish the season as the league's best RB and maybe the league's top scorer, depending on what C Palmer does in week #17.  Steve Smith only scored 1 pt because he was ejected from the game after bumping an official .  Rookie Ronnie Brown started for the Spitoons but missed the game due to an injury.  After averaging 141 pts per week through 11 weeks, the Spitoons have averaged only 115 pts per week since.  Coaching mistakes, injuries, and players slowing down all contributed to this late season collapse.  The team still has one week left to save any damage from this collapse.

UncleJack is now assured of finishing 6th out of 7.  Since winning the league title in 2002, UJ has finished 5th / 6 in 2003, 6th / 6 in 2004, and now 6th / 7 in 2005.  Significant management changes are being asked by UJ's fans who are very pissed off .  P Manning only scored 3 pts this week because he spent most of the game on the sidelines.  The Colts were too good this year.  The coach started injured rookie A Rolle instead of regular starter M Clayton who scored 18 pts.  On defense, all 4 starters failed to reach double digits.  Many other players had very average games like TE McMichael 7 pts, Droughns 5 pts, Rod Smith 10 pts, and the Panthers D 6.5 pts.  The only good games were by Dillon (16 pts) and Moulds (15 pts).

The Dugongs finished in the bottom 2 for the third straight week and last for the first time this year.  Now that the Dugongs have visited the league's last place, the BeaudoinBrothers are the only team that has not finished last this season.  Only two Dugongs players scored double-digits this week: LB Brooking with 17.5 pts and star DB Adrian Wilson with 11.5 pts.  Everybody else sucked, especially on offense.  The Dugongs did not even have a backup on the bench scoring double-digits!  Shit all over the Dugongs' lineup: K Collins 2 pts, T Bell 6 pts, C Brown 1 pt, E Kennison 2 pts, K McCardell 8 pts, T Gonzalez 7 pts, Ravens D 6 pts.  This lineup looks horrible.  The Dugongs problems may extend into 2006 because their saved team may not be very good unless some washed up players rejuvenate themselves during the offseason, like K Collins, Joe Horn, I Bruce, etc.
