2003 Week #11

1st Place Decepticons 144 pts

2nd Place WaxOnWaxOff 87.5 pts

3rd Place BeaudoinBrothers 83.5 pts

4th Place UncleJack 81 pts

5th Place Spitoons 70 pts

6th Place OldNo7 60 pts

The Decepticons beat 2nd place Wax by 56.5 pts, which is one of the largest winning margins in the history of the league.  This was Decepticons' first win of the season after several weeks of consistency and second places.  This win increases the team's lead in 1st place to 5.5 pts over Wax.  Shannon Sharpe exploded for three TDs and over 100 yds.  He jumped to 1st place in the TE standings.  Almost every starter on Decepticons' team scored a TD: Culpepper, S Davis, Owens, Holt, Sharpe, and Andre Johnson.

WaxOnWaxOff got out of their slump and finished second with 87.5 pts.  McAllister scored 2 TDs and gained 237 total yards, although he fumbled twice.  The Seahawks D scored a TD and finished the game with 12.5 pts.  Wax is fortunate to finish 2nd with so many players having so-so games, like Tomlinson (3 pts), Calico (3 pts), and Riemersma (0 pt).

The BeaudoinBrothers had another average week with 83.5 pts and a third place.  This was a very disappointing result given the fact that the starters had many favorable matchups.  McNair only scored 5 pts at home against the Jaguars.  Mason did not score a TD.  Moss had his worst game of the year with 5 pts.  On the positive side, the Dolphins held the Ravens offense in check and they scored 17 pts.  Newly acquired Todd Heap scored 11 pts.  He should help the BeaudoinBrothers down the stretch, although the team is slipping farther and farther away from first place.  The team has a history of late-season comebacks but there may not be enough time left.  There are rumors that C Rogers may not come back until week #14.

UncleJack finished 4th with 81 pts.  UJ's star H Ward did not deliver on MNF.  He scored only 6 pts.  If he had had an average game (15 pts for him), UJ would have finished 2nd and would have been back in the race.  This 4th place hurts.  Dunn had a good game with his new team with 15 pts while benched Zereoue only scored 2 pts.  Dunn has been hot recently and should help UJ gain a few pts.  Jamal Lewis only scored 4 pts so he is also responsible for UJ's 4th place.

The Spitoons finished 5th because of the lack of production from WRs.  Joe Horn is still banged up and he only scored 4 pts.  J Smith only caught one pass for 5 yards.  The Spitoons were able to beat OldNo7 because E James had his best game since week #7 in 2000 with 28 pts (3 TDs).  M Faulk cracked the 100-yard mark but did not score a TD for the Rams.

OldNo7's streak of avoiding last place is over after 28 weeks (last time was week #16 in 2001).  OldNo7 had an all-around awful game where many players had shitty performances.  Brad Johnson scored zero against the weak Packers defense at home, Priest Holmes only scored 8 pts against the Bengals in a loss, Billy Miller did not catch a pass, Akers did not kick a FG and Boldin did not score a TD.  Green was ok with 15 pts, but this is below his RB-leading average of 19 pts per week.
