2003 Week #6

1st Place BeaudoinBrothers 125 pts

2nd Place OldNo7 108 pts

3rd Place UncleJack 84.5 pts

4th Place WaxOnWaxOff 84 pts

5th Place Decepticons 81 pts

6th Place Spitoons 31 pts

The BeaudoinBrothers exploded for 125 pts and ended WaxOnWaxOff's winning streak at three to preserve their own record of four straight wins.  McNair connected with Mason three times for scores.  Both McNair (34 pts) and Mason (37 pts) scored more points than the entire Spitoons team.  The Dolphins scored over 20 pts for the second time in their last three games.  They are definitely back on track after a rough first two weeks.

OldNo7 bounced back from a bad week #5 with 108 pts and a second place.  The benching of McNabb paid off.  Brad Johnson scored 31 pts while McNabb scored only 9 pts.  OldNo7's RBs continued to pull the team with 39 pts together.  A Green and P Holmes are 1st and 3rd best RBs in the league.  Boldin has not scored a TD since week #1, but he racks up points nonetheless with good stats and continues to lead the league for rookies.

UncleJack edged WaxOnWaxOff by half a point for a very important point in the standings.  UJ is now 9 pts behind Wax.  The Bucs D scored 19.5 pts and lead the league as expected.  Charlie Garner continues to struggle like the rest of the Raiders offense.  He scored single-digit points for the fourth time in the last five weeks.

WaxOnWaxOff allowed other teams to get back in the race with a disappointing fourth place.  However, Wax beat Decepticons by three points though, so they extended their first place lead to three pts.  Hasselbeck is the only player among Wax's starters that scored a TD (and he scored only one), but Wax still scored 84 pts, which is the mark of a good team.  McAllister, Harrison, and Shockey all had good stats despite no touchdown.

The Decepticons struggled for the second straight week with a 5th place.  The coach started Plummer but he was injured and that cost the team two ranks because Favre scored 17 pts.  This is the second straight week that the coach made a mistake and it coincides with the Decepticons being knocked off of first place.  The Decepticons made a nice comeback with Holt scoring 32 pts on MNF, but fell short to beat Wax and UJ.  Feely did not help because he missed his only kick of the night, although it was a tough one (60 yds).

The Spitoons coach did not submit his starters and that resulted in their worse performance of the season, and one of the worst of the history of the PQBFL.  Bledsoe scored 0 pt while Bulger was benched and scored 23 pts.  E James started but was injured while Staley scored 15 pts.  Larry Johnson did not play again but the coach started him.  Backup Teyo Johnson scored 10 pts.  The Falcons D scored minus one point against the Rams while the Panthers scored 5 pts.  All those mistakes cost a total of 54 pts, which would have allowed the Spitoons to score a total of 85 pts to beat Dec, Wax, and UJ.  Interesting how coaching makes a huge difference.  It could have been Spitoons' best week, but instead it was their worst.
