2003 Week #2
2nd Place Decepticons 117.5 pts
6th Place BeaudoinBrothers 69 pts
A clutch Monday night performance by Toomer gave OldNo7 the win in week #2. Four teams were caught in a very close race until Toomer came up big with a touchdown late in the 4th quarter. Priest Holmes was again unstoppable and lead OldNo7 to the second best performance in the history of the franchise with 126 pts.
Another strong outing by Decepticons, another 2nd place and Decepticons take the lead of the PQBFL standings with 10 pts, a 2-pt lead on OldNo7. No player on the Decepticons team was extraordinarily good in week #2, but they all did well. Every starter on the team scored a touchdown except the kicker and the rookie.
Jeremy Shockey scored a touchdown in the 4th quarter on Monday night to give WaxOnWaxOff the edge over UncleJack in 3rd place. Wax was probably hoping for more than 2 receptions for 8 yards from Shockey though, which would have helped the team beat Decepticons. Wax needed only one more point. Hasselbeck and the Seahawks D scored 51.5 pts together as they absolutely destroyed the shitty Arizona Cards.
UncleJack got bent has they got 4th place with 115 pts. Only three more points and they would have gotten 2nd place. This hurts. Jamal Lewis had a huge game with 40 pts, but UncleJack realizes that the team is not as good as last year. If you remove Lewis's performance, this was a lackluster week for UncleJack.
The Spitoons not only suck, but their coach does not do his job. The coach forgot to submit the starters. It did not change anything because the Spitoons finished very far behind UncleJack, but the GM of the team was pretty pissed off of this miscue by the rookie coach. Plaxico Burress was the only bright spot on the team with 19 pts. The other players pretty much sucked or were average at best.
The BeaudoinBrothers crumbled after a great performance in week #1. They could have at least beat Spitoons if Moss was not such a loser. Moss cannot produce in prime time when the BeaudoinBrothers need him. Clinton Portis's injury did not help either. He did not play in the 2nd half. If he had, the BeaudoinBrothers would have finished 5th. The BeaudoinBrothers came back to reality as their team is not as good as they thought after week #1. The coaches are still wondering what happened to Gannon who scored only three points against the Bengals. This is puzzling because Gannon was the second best QB in the PQBFL in week #1 with 23 pts and a difficult matchup in Tennessee.
