Week #14

Weekly summary provided by Decepticons!

For the third time this year OldNo7 dominated the scoreboard and took home the win in week #14. The 3 weekly wins for Old thus far in the 2022 season are only 1 behind Wax and Bas (4 weekly wins each). Despite this, Old is entrenched in the middle of the standings with their five bottom-3 finishes holding them back. Old’s #1 finish in week 14 was despite a whopping 10 players on BYE and only a single viable RB. Trevor Lawrence (37.75) led the way beating up on the Titans with Christian McCaffrey (26.75) and Tyreek Hill (25.5) not far behind. Just these three alone would have achieved third place for Old in Week #14, but sufficient performances elsewhere led them to the win.

BeaudoinBros continued their blitz on Wax in the standings into first place overall with 147 points in week #14. BB’s uncanny ability to avoid terrible weeks always seems to keep them in the running and this is no different in 2022, with just a single week thus far in the bottom-3 scoring. Jalen Hurts (34.75) is now the QB#1 overall after a big week against the Giants. Otherwise the Beaud had performances generally close to season averages, which was good enough to push into 2nd place.

GloriousBastards is the only team hotter than BB’s the last 4 weeks and comfortably grabbed 3rd place with 136 points. GB had no real standout performances in week #14 but in the lowest-scoring week of the year in PQBFL this was good enough. GB will do their best to keep the pressure on Wax and BB at the top of the standings through the final 4 weeks of the season.

Usually 122 points would be in the bottom 3 for a given week, but in week #14 it was good enough for 4th place and to pull ProfessorMJ back out of the cellar of the standings overall. Prof also left a lot of points on the bench, with Evan Engram’s 11 receptions, 162 receiving yards and 2 TDs (32 pts) sitting behind Gerald Everett’s 6.25.

FlyingElvis (120.25 pts) came in 5th place. FE continues their slide away from the top-3 in the standings but has at least firmed their 4th place overall.

Decepticons (115.25) continued their consistently mediocre season with a 6th place in week #14.

Wax (111.75) could ill afford its 7th place finish, finally falling out of 1st place in the standings which they had held since week #2. Wax will need to put it back together the final 4 weeks of the season to attempt to challenge the Bros, and is in danger of falling to 3rd behind the fast charging Bastards.

A tough season for the Admirals got tougher with Kyler Murray’s ACL injury. While it probably did not matter much for week #14 scores, one wonders when Kyler will be back and how this impacts Admirals long-term franchise planning. The injury does however setup what could be an extremely exciting race for 2nd place in injury points, with Admirals far behind Decepticons after week #14 but poised to make big gains weeks 15-thru-18. For the remainder of 2022 though, Admirals will have to see if massage therapist connoisseurs make for good backup QBs.

The Ballers slipped back to last place overall in the standings despite having a higher total point value than Prof and Adm.
